It's bread week on GBKBO and we have a real treat for you with our mouthwatering mozzarella pretzels. These have been an instant favourite with our customers and they're super simple to make so join Pauline and Denise in the kitchen as they whip up these cheesy treats in under 20 mins.
We think these brilliant breads are delicious on their own but would be great as part of an antipasto board, topped with some organic cheese and some organic charcuterie meats.
Make sure send us a picture of your creations as we're giving away a copy of Primal Living In A Modern World (currently FREE with Wiley's Finest Fish Oil, Peak EPA) again this week to the most creative bake. To enter our competition, simply add your image on the facebook or instagram post, make sure you're following us and share the post!
We'll announce the winner in two weeks time to give you time to get baking! Tune in to our facebook every Friday at 4pm for more GBKBO.
200g Almond Flour plus 100g Extra
1tbsp Baking Powder
1tsp Garlic Powder
330g Buffalo Mozzarella
70g Cream Cheese
1-2 tsp crunchy Himalayan Rock Salt
Let's do this!
Mix together 200g of almond flour, the salt, garlic powder and baking powder. In a separate bowl drain the mozzarella and melt it until it's mostly liquid (some chunks are fine) mix in the cream cheese. Add this to the dry ingredients along with two of the eggs.
Mix together adding in any necessary additional almond flour if the mix is too wet until you get a doughy consistency that's malleable. Split the recipe into six even parts, roll them out into cylindrical strips and twist into any shape you like (we prefer the traditional dicky bow ;))
Whisk the remaining egg and lightly egg wash the bread, add your toppings of choice and place in the oven at 180 degrees for 10 mins or until golden brown. Leave too cool for five mins before tucking in.
Hope you enjoy.
